This tour takes to the most popular tour destinations including UNESCO World Heritage Sites, interesting national Park Khustai & Wild horse Park and Karakorum - ruins and museum of ancient Mongolian capital, the oldest and most famous Erdene-Zuu monastery - Mongolian Buddhist culture.
Next destination is Ulaantsutgalan Waterfall located in Khangai range erupted and formed along Orkhon Valley. Also explore Elsen tasarkhai sand dunes unique area combining forest and Gobi sand dunes.
Located 360 km to the south-west from Ulaanbaatar, Kharakhorum is the ancient capital city of Mongolia.
The Great Ruler Chinggis Khaan himself ordered it to be built in 1220 as the capital of the vast Mongol Empire and the construction was completed after his death by the second Great Khaan, Ugudei.
The splendid city with a fountain in the shape of a colossal silver tree designed by the French sculptor Guillaum Bouchier was destroyed by the Chinese Ming army in 1410.
In 1586, Abtai Khaan founded the first Buddhist monastery in Mongolia.
Erdene Zuu is next to the site of Kharakhorum ruins. The lively monastery comprised 100 temples, 300 gers and 1000 resident monks enclosed in an immense walled compound with 108 pagodas.
Although ruined during the 1930’s communism purges, today the monastery has been restored and is regaining its former glory.

Day 1: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar
Arrival in Ulaanbaatar. Stay overnight in a hotel. (D)
Day 2: Departure to Terelj National Park
We leave Ulaanbaatar and head eastwards to the Khan Khentii Strictly Protected Area. At 40km we cross a large wooden bridge across the Tuul River and enter the southern and most visited part of the protected area usually referred to as Terelj National Park. Here we can see lots rock formations, which are named after their shape such as Turtle Rock. We will cross a mountain pass and reach a small settlement where we will cross the River Terelj. There is no bridge to cross the river and in summer it can be deep. From here on no roads only tracks. By 4WD we can reach day you will do a little horse riding to choose the right horse for you.
Day 3: Start horsetrek to Khentii
The horse trek takes place in an area of wilderness extending all the way to the Russian border. There are lush rolling grasslands full with wild flowers, forests with pine and birch trees and mountains up to 2800m. we have to cross fast flowing rivers. There is lots of wildlife in the area; wolves; brown bear, lynx, red deer and moose. They are hard to see during the summer except for the smaller ones like marmots, foxes, eagles and cranes. In the southern area we will see a few nomadic families who travel around with their herds of horses, cows, yaks, sheep and goats. We will stay with some of them and experience the traditional nomadic life style. Further north there is less grasslands and more forests with lakes and fewer nomads. In this area we will camp in tents carried by the packhorses or the yak cart. After 6 days on horseback we will come back to the starting point of the trek and will be picked up by jeep or minivan return to Ulaanbaatar.
Day 4: Anci..........
After breakfast, Visit Erdenekhambyn Monastery and Trekking to Uvgun Monastery. Drive to Mongolian ancient capital Kharkhorum city ruin & Erdenezuu monastery, which exhibits dozens of artifacts of 13th century. Afternoon, drive to Khujirt town and visit local family. Stay overnight in a local family in town. (B, L, D)
Day 5: Mog.......
After breakfast, Visit Nomadic Herder's Family and Experience their daily life and traditional culture. Afternoon, Drive to Uurtiin Tokhoi Canyon, a unique natural formation on the bank of Orkhon River. Entrance gate to the Orkhon Valley National Park. Continue driving to Mogoit Hot Spa Camp via Bat-Ulzii town for 40 kms. In the Camp, you can enjoy hot spa bath. Stay overnight at Mogoit Spa ger camp. (B.L.D)
Day 6: Tuv........
After breakfast, Drive to Ulaantsutgalan Waterfall, and visit the second highest waterfall in Mongolia. Afternoon, Drive to Hoid Aguit Valley and meet the horses after crossing the Orkhon River. Stay overnight in tent camping at the horseman's family, near Tuvkhun monastery. (B,L,D)
Day 7: Far........
After breakfast, Visit Tuvkhun Monastery on horseback and Farewell to the horses. Afternoon, Drive to Elsen Tasarkhai and stay overnight at tent camping at the Semi Sand Dunes. (B, L, D)
Day 8: Dri.........
After breakfast, Drive back to Uaanbaatar city. Lunch will be served on the way. Reach at Ulaanbaatar and check in to hotel. After check in, Free time until Departure for home country. (B, L)

The sceneries were simply breathtaking! Its really back to basics but I love every minute of it. I will visit again if I can.
